Hi Ashlee,
I'm sorry that I have not checked the site for a few weeks as I have been having too much fun! Have you been enjoying the rest of your summer since I last talked to you? I went camping with my family and will be driving to Oregon tomorrow to see visit Portland and Seaside. I hope there is more sun down there than there is here at the moment. Soon, we will be back in school and ready to start another year. Are you excited about grade five? I am looking forward to meeting a new group of students and working with them as I always learn so much from my students. See you soon.

I decided to stick to Skills Development and I like it,Everyone thinks the teacher is really strict! I personally like her:) We did lots of stuff like reading,writing,and math.My favourite thing so far is doing readers theater! Does what? The topic that is the same for all the groups is: Robert Munsch Stories! I'm in the Mortimera story. ( A girl is playing Mortimer so Ms. Periera changed it to Mortimera)
So far I haven't done anything fun yet except camping!
Yes, I know that Alicia was signed up to go to summer school so perhaps it is the same person. What course are you taking and are you enjoying it? What sort of things are you learning? What else have you been up to so far this summer?
Mrs. Mann, Do you know if Alicia is going to summer school, because there is a girl in my class named Alicia but has never showed up!
I am actually going to UBC (University of British Columbia) and will be taking two course for myself. Learning is something you do throughout your whole life so that is exactly what I am doing. We will both be in summer school at the same time! I can't wait to hear all that you've learned and will share with you too.
Are you going to Cascade Heights too or diffrent school for summer school?

I miss you and the rest of the class too! Soon though, you'll be into summer mode and will be having so much fun that the our year together will be but a distant memory. I'll be here and there this summer and also going to summer school just like you, but perhaps we will bump into each other. September is only two months away, so it won't be long before we see each other again! In the meantime, I hope you enjoy visiting all of the parks around town. One of my favourite parks is Rocky Point in Port Moody, and I suggest that you try to get to that one. Let me know which park, in your opinion, is the best and why. Have a terrific summer, Ashlee!
Wouldn't that be neat to go to Victoria in Victoria Day!? Unfortunately, it is also a holiday and we won't be in school that day. Do you know why we celebrate Victoria Day?

That's okay Sumaiyah! I know that you were just being polite and respectful by not interrupting. I was able to chat with your parents near the end of your conference to tell them what a great job you have been doing. I could see and hear how confident you sounded and how well you presented your learning. Way to go!
